COLOR ANALYSIS: When to Do It and When Not to Do It?

Color analysis is pretty popular these days. There is a classic 4 season approach: spring, summer, autumn and winter. I remember it from the 90s! I was already fascinated by it when I was a little girl. Today, there are also systems with 12 color types, 16 types and even more detailed ones. We could be talking about for ages…

As I think about personal style, knowing your color type may be one of the key elements here (but is not a must!).
Because once you receive the basic information about which colors naturally complement you, that is when the fun can really begin!! 😀

And this is where the magic happens! ✨

First of all, you can pick your favorite colors!  Then look at what you already have in your wardrobe. There is no need to throw everything away and buy all new clothes! Learn how to combine colors, experiment with different shades, check what makes you feel great. Style things in a way that makes you feel amazing and most importantly, feels like you!!

Color analysis can be especially helpful:

  • when you are confused and have no idea which colors work best for you
  • when you don’t really have any favorite colors
  • when you have no idea how to combine colors
  • when you are afraid to wear colorful clothes
  • when you would love to wear colors but do not know where to even start
  • when you think black is the most universal and safest color ever 😉

And when does it not make much sense? Well…

  • when you simply don’t care about it at all
  • when you already know which colors make you look and feel amazing
  • when you know how to combine colors
  • when you are already having fun experimenting with color
  • when you feel free and unrestricted when it comes to using color in your outfits

I really like color analysis. It can bring surprisingly interesting results and give you some great basic knowledge about the colors that naturally enhance your features.

But! at the same time, I absolutely looove the fun, freedom and joy that fashion and personal styling can bring.
That’s why I treat color analysis as a tool and guidance and not a rulebook. And yes, I do like to break a few rules every now and then. 😁

If there are colors you absolutely love, but they aren’t necessarily included in your recommended palette, I don’t want you to simply stop wearing them.
Let’s make them work. I can definitely help you with that!!!
Maybe we will use them further away from your face. Maybe we’ll find a different shade. Maybe we’ll combine them with colors that make them work better for you. Maybe we’ll simply decide that you love the effect they create and that’s enough.

Because ultimately, your wardrobe should not control you. It should be the other way around! You should feel in control of your wardrobe.
My wish for you is to feel happy, confident and like yourself in what you wear.

Color analysis can show you what works.Personal styling can help you discover what works for YOU.
And sometimes, the most exciting outfits happen when we know the rules…and then decide which ones are worth breaking hihi ✨

That, to me, is where personal style begins!!! <3
